Adapted from the book of the same name, THE GREAT ESCAPE is the true story of the largest Allied escape attempt from a German Prisoner of War camp.
Having spent time and resources recapturing escaped prisoners of war, the Germans move the most troublesome and defiant to a StalgLuft II, a maximum security camp that is seemingly inescapable. By placing these key figures together, the Germans have inadvertently created the most highly talented escape teams in history. Led by ‘Big X’, it is their duty to escape, and they immediately set to work plotting a way out.
A stirringly epic film with one of the most iconic moments in cinematic history, The Great Escape features Richard Attenburgh, Charles Bronson, Donald Pleasence and Steve McQueen.
